Sweaters

Whether you're 18 or 81, you can't argue with great sweaters for men. We think the best sweaters for men (or at least the most versatile ones) are solid colors, so we pretty much always have a strong roll-up in various styles and fabrics: crewneck, v-neck, cardigan, cable, turtleneck, quarter zip-up, track jacket sweaters, even polo sweaters… that will come in everything from cotton to cashmere, or a blend of the two. Color-wise we love a navy (shocking), and anything with a heathered look – greens and blues and browns. Not that we’re opposed to patterns, each year we release some seasonal winter sweaters in Fair Isle or stripes or other festive patterns.

If there was one sweater we reference more than any other (and the one we always have on hand, and love to wear), it would have to be a navy fine-gauge cashmere sweater. It’s quite possibly the greatest travel piece you can have. It stands on its own, but also layers/plays well with others. You can wear it on the plane, you can throw it under a jacket, you can tuck it into a tote bag or carry-on, and — insider tip — if you roll it up and put it in a shoe bag, it makes a great travel pillow.
