We’re big fans of music, and big fans of sharing stuff we love. And while we spin records in our shops, there’s something cool and communal about being live on the air, where everyone’s listening together. To paraphrase the inimitable Jonathan Richman, you don’t feel so alone with the radio on – you don’t feel so bad in the car – you’re in love with the radio on – it keeps you from being lonely late at night. He’s right!
In that spirit, we’ve started a vinyl-only radio show on Atlanta’s Voice of the Arts, AM 1690. Every Wednesday night, the Sid Mashburn Radio Hour (WSID) will air during drive time, 5pm-6pm. The show will re-air on Saturdays at 8am, and then on Sundays at 7pm. So dust off your AM dial and maybe take the long way home. And if you’re outside the reach of the radio signal, you can tune in below.
